SEEKING: Ensemble and Principal Actors to play teenagers and/or two adult characters. Must have strong rock/pop vocal quality. Movement/Dance experience a plus.

 

Character Breakdown:

WENDLA: Both vulnerable and a willing participant in her evolution. Soprano

MELCHIOR: A smart, headstrong boy who refuses to bow down to society’s rules. Baritone

MORITZ: Melchior’s best friend. Tenor

MARTHA: A schoolgirl. Alto

ILSE: Martha’s sister. Mezzo

ANNA: A schoolgirl. Alto

THEA: Wendla’s best friend. Mezzo

ERNST: Student. Baritenor

GEORG: Student. Tenor w/ falsetto access

HANSCHEN: Student. Baritenor

OTTO: Student. Baritenor

ADULT MAN: Multiple roles, including HERR STIEFL, HERR GABOR, and HERR SONNENSTITCH

ADULT WOMAN: Multiple roles, including FANNY, FRAU BERGMAN, and the teacher.
