Richard Ericson
Born in Tokyo, Japan, raised in the United Kingdom and Korea, and a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, Richard has worked in the entertainment industry as a producer, director and consultant for over twenty-five years. He has produced ( or co-produced ) more than seventy-five shows on and off Broadway, across the United States and Canada, and for many international markets including the U.K., Australia, Ireland, Mexico and the Far East. For ten years he was Artistic Producer at Rhode Island’s historic Theatre-by-the-Sea; during his tenure The New York Times dedicated a Sunday Arts and Leisure feature to the organization’s growth and reach.

Richard has served as creative consultant to film producers/directors Alan J. Pakula and Jonathan Demme, and has consulted for many organizations as diverse as Japan’s Takarazka Theater Company, Washington’s Arena Stage and the Disney Company, as well as many individual artists including Albert Finney and Michele Pfeiffer. He and his former partners were the subject of a “Broadway” documentary co-produced by NHK ( Japan Broadcasting Company ) and WNET New York.
